BS Icon Maker is a professional and easy-to-use icon maker that enables you to create a cartoon-like icon from a photo. It's easy to use, just load the photo, and then adjust the slider bars.

Anti-aliasing is an important tech for an icon maker, without this tech, we can't distinguish a 5 pixels width ellipse from a 5 pixels width round rectangle. BS Icon Maker provides anti-aliasing for Line, Rectangle, Ellipse and Text. Sometimes, we need to write text on an icon, but the icon is too small to write enough characters. To write more characters, we have to write rotated text. To write rotated text via BS Icon Maker is easy, rotate to any angle by dragging the handle.

BS Icon Maker includes an Icon Library Editing tool with which you can create or edit ICL files. Far more than ICL file, this tool can extract icons from EXE, DLL, OCX and CPL files. There are many effects and filters in this icon maker, such as Emboss, Blur, Prewitt Edges, Stroke, and Sharpen. The program provides a History Window so you can instantly undo or redo multiple steps.

Microsoft Vista comes with a new format of icons. Vista Icons differ from Windows-XP Icons in that they have a maximum size of 256x256 pixels, and support 32-bit icons, which are 24-bit images with an 8-bit alpha channel. BS Icon Maker provides complete support for Windows Vista Icons.
